LLP compliance at a glance
An LLP is a separate legal entity and must file two returns with the MCA every year: the Annual Return (Form 11) and the Statement of Account & Solvency (Form 8). Late filing attracts an additional fee of ₹100 per day for each form, with no upper limit — and these filings are required even if the LLP had no business at all.
One-time compliance after registration
- LLP Agreement (Form 3) — within 30 days of incorporation
- Current bank account in the LLP's name — all business transactions must go through it
- PAN and TAN — now allotted along with the Certificate of Incorporation
- GST registration — when turnover crosses the threshold or the business requires it
