What is a private limited company?

A private limited company is a business owned by a small group of shareholders and governed by the Companies Act, 2013. It is a separate legal person from its owners, so the company — not the founders — owns its assets, signs its contracts and carries its debts. Shareholders risk only the money they have put in. That combination of protection, credibility and the ability to bring in investors is why most founders choose private limited company registration in Bangalore.
